Donate Money City Mission is always in need of financial donations. With
rising operating costs, due to the price increase in utilities and other areas,
City Mission needs help to continue our day to day operations. The donations will go toward helping the underprivileged, mistreated and overlooked citizens of PNG to receive
the chance and opportunity they deserve.
Volunteer Time or Skills There are many different ways to volunteer your time and
talent to City Mission. In Port Moresby you can help with building projects or the literacy
or vocational programs at the New Life Skills Training Center Farm, or spend time playing with the children of
domestic violence victims who are receiving counseling from Haus Ruth.
In Lae, you can spend time playing sports and offering training to the young men
of Suambu Plantation, or spend time reading with the children
from Haus Clare Children’s Crisis Center. These are some ideas
on how to volunteer, but are in no way the only opportunities. Please contact us
to find out ways your unique experience and skills can help others.
Donate in Kind With City Mission PNG serving over 1,000 meals and accommodating over 400 clients daily, we are in constant need for all types of donations in kind. Some needs include, but are not limited to; food, clothes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, sporting equipment, bedding and kitchen items.
Hire City Mission Program Graduates We are always looking to broaden our options for our graduates
to obtain permanent employment. The more options available, the greater chance we have of matching the graduates with their specific skill set and desires which, in the end, leads to loyalty and long term success. Give our graduates a try, you will be very surprised by their integrity, work ethic and capabilities.
Become a Mentor We believe that setting each graduate up with a mentor is key to their long term success. We are looking for mentors that will meet at least once a month with the graduate and help them with their struggles and encourage them on their successes. To become a mentor, contact
Pastor Ron Brown at 320 0606
Request a Tour If you would like to see the work that God is doing in PNG through
City Mission, please contact us to request a tour of any of our facilities.
2-MILE MERI SEIF HAUS
With the success of the City Mission in Port Moresby and the increasing lawlessness in Lae, it was only natural that
City Mission saw the need to expand its operations to Lae. In May 2005, the Mission took over a three story, 96 room hosted
on Cassowary Road, Lae. This Hostel, apart from providing training and accommodation for young men who have been rejected or come from broken homes, provides the only single male accommodation for workers in Lae.
Lae City Mission is also active in supporting the many street kids who come from difficult situations within the city.
Like Port Moresby City Mission, Lae City Mission will require the support of the
local business community if it is to successfully reach out to the city’s troubled youth.
We have established the same programs at Lae that have been successful in Port
Moresby. Please feel free to contact us for further information on the hard work being done at
Lae City Mission.
